Lazercutting Landscapes and 3D Printing Spacebase Blog

SpaceBase

As part of the children’s space topic, we decided to investigate what it would be like to travel to another planet. We studied contour maps and looked at how we could create one in TinkerCAD and then lazercut and paint them to get a 3 dimensional other world. We then investigated how we would survive in an alien environment and 3D printed some space bases to go on our new landscape. We finished off by looking at means of transport and trying to create vehicles that we could move around on this new planet.
